💡 5 Powerful Traditional Strategies for Thriving in Sales Without Spending on Ads 🌿

Happy Thursday! As many of you might know by now, my approach to business growth tends to be more traditional. Unlike tech-based companies that can scale quickly, my business doesn't have a technological backbone. And while it is an e-commerce business, it's rooted in the tangible world of products.

So today, I want to share 5 strategies (which may take longer to see results) that are effective and sustainable for selling a product. These strategies have worked incredibly well for me.

I also believe they are applicable to other entrepreneurs out there selling services. The key lies in consistency and focusing on the customer experience.

1️⃣ Give Your Customers Options: When I started, I had only 20 products on the website. It wasn't much, and it showed. Over time, I learned that customers love variety. If they can browse multiple options and solve their needs on a single page, even better! Now, my range has grown, and the results speak for themselves.

2️⃣ Crossover Sales: With different Shopify apps I offer complementary products to enhance the customer’s purchase. For example, if someone buys cutlery, I suggest matching trays or napkin rings. When selling candle holders, I recommend candles that fit perfectly with them. By carefully considering associated products when expanding my stock, I add value to the customer experience and increase order value significantly.

3️⃣ Loyalty Programs: I created a loyalty program with Judge.me that rewards our repeat customers with discounts and exclusive products. This not only encourages repurchase (at no ads cost) but also fosters long-term relationships with our brand.

4️⃣ Price Anchoring: By implementing a price anchoring strategy, I offer a range of products at different price points. For instance, a luxury item at a higher price makes the mid-range option appear more attractive. This helps guide customers towards making favorable purchase decisions.

5️⃣ Referral Program: I sue Judge.me, a leading product review and feedback platform, has integrated a referral program directly into the checkout process of e-commerce stores. This allows customers to easily share referral links with friends and family while completing their purchase. By leveraging the existing customer base to promote products, businesses can significantly reduce advertising spend.

🌱 What I’ve learned is that there are many ways to boost sales beyond just running ads or spending excessively. Once you’ve got a customer, the key is maximizing their value for your brand through smart strategies.
